We do all types of roof replacements and repairs: Asphalt Shingles, Standing Seam Metal, Wood Cedar Shakes, Davinci Slate and Shakes, and EPDM Rubber; using Certainteed Landmark Pro Asphalt Shingles as our standard residential shingles. If you are looking to upgrade to a more commercial type asphalt shingle/designer shingles, we suggest Belmont Shingles, Grand Manor Shingles, or Standing Seam Metal. The Standing Seam Metal roof is often used in garages, porches, and porticos, but it is always an option for the entire house roof.
Give your house a new look with new siding. We offer Wolf Portrait PVC Siding, Hardie Cement Lap, Board & Batton Siding, Smart Panel Siding, or Certainteed Vinyl Siding. Our vinyl siding has an array of choices in both colors and styles. The Monogram, Board & Batton, and the 7″ Certi-plank are our most popular vinyl siding. The Certi-Plank siding is an alternative to the 7″ Hardie Plank or the Wolf Portrait siding with a similar appearance. We suggest the Certainteed Vinyl sidings for a more economical choice: Mainstreet and Encore.
Are you having problems with moisture intrusions and damage to the structure of your stucco? Most of the damage occurs around windows and doors, behind the deck ledger, or other penetrations caused by not installing the proper flashings. Not having kick-outs/diverters where a gutter runs into a wall is also a very common problem. Typically, the gutters are cut short a few inches away from the wall, which is sufficient, but a kick-out needs to be installed on the roof to divert the water from the roof into the gutter so that it can’t come down freely between the gutter and the wall. The wall is often completely destroyed if no kick-outs are installed. We complete stucco removals and repairs, as well as the installation of drip caps and flashings. We can then give the home a new look by installing a new vapor barrier and siding of your choice with accents of stone fronts.
Do you have interior structural issues? We fix sagging floors and beams, remove walls, and eliminate structure posts. If the job is extensive and has many structure-related changes/issues, we recommend calling Daniel’s Consulting Engineers (610-692-9836) out of West Chester for an evaluation and to write up a report for the job. We work alongside Daniel’s engineers and will do the repairs as recommended.
Are you looking for a new deck with composite/Azek decking? Our most popular Timbertech Composite decking is the Legacy and Reserve Collections, and in the Azek, it’s the Landmark Collection and Vintage Collections. The more economical decking would be the Azek in the Harvest Collection and the TimberTech in the Terrain and Prime Collections. Of course, wood decks are always an option but are not recommended due to their short life span and ongoing maintenance.
Our decks are supported with 12″ concrete-filled sonotubes approximately 4″ above grade. The 6×6 posts are then anchored to the concrete sonotube. We recommend keeping the posts out of the ground to prevent them from rotting. Rotting problems are one of the first issues you will find if the post is directly in-ground. The beams and joist are then installed and supported on the concrete sonotubes. We then cover the top surfaces of all joists and beams with joist protection tape to prolong the life span of the joist. The decking is now installed over the joist with a solid deck board around the perimeter for a clean appearance—hiding the edges of the decking. All decking is installed with Conceal Loc and Cortex Hidden Fasteners.
We offer Composite, Stainless Cable, Aluminum, and Vinyl railings. The most popular railings are the Westbury Aluminum railings and the TimberTech Composite, as well as cable railings with drink rails. For the Westbury railings, you have an option to go with vertical or horizontal cable rail and also an option to use a drink rail for the top, which can be a deck board matching the decking. For the Timbertech composite rails, you can choose from different rail styles and different in-fill such as vertical or horizontal cable, aluminum balusters, composite balusters, and an option for a drink rail. If you need to see different railings in person, we recommend visiting J & L Building Materials in Avondale to see for yourself. You will see a display deck with different railings and decking that we built for them in the Spring of 2024 located outside the building.
If you’re looking to add a finishing touch to your deck with lighting, consider adding the Timbertech lights to the stair risers and accent post lights. If you have a continuous drink rail, then the accent post lights mounted on the side of the post are the best option. If you want the post cap lights, then the drink rail has to start and stop at each post with the post extending past the top rail.
We install both the 5K and 6K gutters and leaf guards as an option. Depending on the size of the roof and if you are having trouble with your gutters, you may need to consider the larger 6K gutters. The larger gutters are more of a commercial fit, but they will do much better in heavy downpours and flash floods. Check the gutter and downspouts and make sure they are open and free of debris. If the gutters are clogged, you may consider adding leaf guards.
If you are looking for new vinyl windows and slider doors, we recommend the Paradigm, Viwinco, or Harvey. Our most popular is the Paradigm windows and slider doors which is the upper level for price and quality. If you’re looking for a wood window it could be Marvin or Andersen.
For a new front entrance door, slider door, or exterior door, a large selection of doors is available for your front entrance. We use a lot of Therma-tru Smooth Star and Fiber Classic doors. The Smooth Star is a paint-grade door, and the Fiber-Classic is a stain-grade door with a wood look. The doors are available pre-finished if requested. The Andersen and Marvin wood doors are also an option.
Season additions, sunrooms, and screened porches are a great addition to your home and will improve your property value. We enjoy the challenges in selecting the right materials for your job, which may involve choosing the right siding and roofing to match the existing details of your home, or you may want to break it up with something different. A sunroom may include multiple windows to allow plenty of natural light and could also include skylights. The finished interior can be drywall, tongue, and groove pine boards or anything of your choice. The flooring can be vinyl plank flooring. The screen porches are ideal for summer hangouts while keeping insects out and fully enjoying the outdoors. With a few lights and ceiling fans added, and maybe a TV, you are set for the Spring, Summer, and Fall.
